RYAN LONGWELL (KICKER)

Undrafted out of Cal, Longwell was a godsend for former GM Ron Wolf, who needed to make up for his brain fart of a draft pick in Brett Conway in 1997. Following the third-round bust’s struggles in the preseason, Wolf plucked the future mainstay off waivers from the 49ers.

Longwell not only beat out Conway, but he remained the Packers place kicker for nine seasons during which he displayed remarkable accuracy by converting 81 percent of his field goal attempts.

The Seattle native can still be found in team record books as the second leading scorer in Packers history (1,054 points) and the franchise leader in all-time field goals (226).
