RYAN GRANT (RUNNING BACK)

Prior to the 2007 season, Ted Thompson struck gold by trading a sixth-round pick to the Giants for Grant who was originally signed as a UDFA two years earlier.

Grant was a big, strapping runner at 6-1, 222 pounds. He was neither a natural pass catcher nor much of a blocker, but he was a tremendous downhill back who broke tackles in the mold of Dorsey Levens.

His ability to cut back and find holes in the defense led to several scampers of 20 yards-plus.

Although the native New Yorker put up back-to-back 1,000-yard campaigns in 2008 and 2009, his most memorable moment had to be his 201-yard, three-touchdown performance in the snow a Green Bay playoff win over Seattle.
