MARK MURPHY (SAFETY)

Not to be confused with the current president and team CEO, Mark Murphy played both safety positions on some pretty dismal Packers defenses from 1980 through 1991.

Murphy was always known as a competitive sort and he bucked the odds as a UDFA from West Liberty State in his rookie season by beating out three other defensive backs who were actually drafted.

The follicly challenged defender was well known for the fact that he didn’t have a hair on his body due to a rare condition, but what really distinguished him was his will to constantly improve and his versatility.

More physical than fast, he led the team in total tackles twice and recorded 20 interceptions throughout his career. Murphy was inducted into the Packers Hall of Fame in 1998.
