Mitch Mathews … here’s the skinny

Mitch Mathews, at 6-6 and 215 pounds may seem undersized in weight, given his length, but he also projects to be an interesting prospect who, if he can stay healthy, would bring something the Packers haven’t had a lot of over the years … a big receiver to which Aaron Rodgers could throw jump balls.

Rodgers has never had this type of receiver in the red zone – someone he could throw corner passes where the receiver can battle for the ball over cornerbacks.

Mathews’ best college season was his junior year when he caught 73 balls for 922 yards (12.6-yard average). However, in his senior season he also caught 11 touchdowns.
