Defense is the focus in the latest Green Bay Packers seven-round mock draft.

We are just three weeks away from the 2016 NFL Draft, and Green Bay Packers general manager is entering the final stage of his preparations for the three-day event hosted in Chicago, Illinois. By now, Thompson knows exactly which prospects he likes. The hard work is done.

What are the Packers’ needs heading into the draft? An upgrade to the defensive line is in order following B.J. Raji’s hiatus from football and Mike Pennel’s four-game suspension. Inside linebacker is also a position of need and finding talent will be key in moving Clay Matthews back outside. Matthews could be joined on the edge with a rookie pass rusher.

Tight end is still a need even with Jared Cook’s arrival. Cook provides a short-term fix, but the future tight end needs to be found and this draft would be a good place to find one. Sticking with offense, the Packers need to add more depth along the offensive line after injuries to the starting quintet put Aaron Rodgers in too much danger last season.

Who could Green Bay select in each round of the draft? Let’s make some projections.
