Week 13: vs. Houston Texans

It’s the Brock Osweiler era in Houston. This one is going to be fascinating to watch. Will Osweiler be the missing piece at quarterback the Texans need? They have the defense ready to compete, and their offense isn’t far off.

DeAndre Hopkins is an elite wide receiver, and Houston will likely look to get more help on offense in this year’s draft. This might work out being a tougher game than many might imagine, but it all comes down to Osweiler. Despite that, it’s tough to pick against Aaron Rodgers at home, and the Packers should be too strong.

Prediction: Win (10-2)

Week 14: vs. Seattle Seahawks

This is far and away the toughest game on the schedule between two of the NFC’s best teams. Both the Packers and Seahawks will be disappointed not to have advanced past the divisional round last year, when both were tipped in preseason to meet in the title game again.

If this game was in Seattle, my pick would be the Seahawks. What recent meetings between these teams suggest is that home field advantage is pretty important. Like last year, the Packers find a way to take down the Legion of Boom and pick up a win that could have seeding implications in January.

Prediction: Win (11-2)
