Ted Thompson’s draft picks … 2013

… and the reason the Packers are perennial Super Bowl contenders …

With Eddie Lacy topping the list of the best picks of recent years, Thompson also got great value in this 2013 draft. Though Datone Jones has been a disappointment because of injuries and lack of production, you can’t complain about David Bakhtiari and J.C. Tretter in the fourth round, Micah Hyde and Josh Boyd in the fifth round, Nate Palmer in the sixth round and Sam Barrington in the seventh round.

Johnathan Franklin retired because of a neck condition and seventh-rounder Charles Johnson was one who got away.
