Ray Rivard: WR Moritz Boehringer, Germany

Previous picks: DT Vernon Butler, TE Austin Hooper, ILB Beniquez Brown, LB Joe Schobert, S K.J. Dillon, RB Josh Ferguson, WR Geronimo Allison

We all know how Packers GM Ted Thompson loves to draft wide receivers and though he tends to pick guys in the first three rounds at that position, he has also had some success drafting wide receivers in later rounds … you know a guy by the name of Jeff Janis, right?

That said, Boehringer has caught not only a lot of balls overseas, but has caught a lot of attention stateside as well.

Thompson has shown an interest in this guy and if he can land him in the later rounds he could have an interesting project with which to work.

Whether he will make the 53-man roster is speculation, but Boehringer is the type of player who could be stashed on the practice squad for a year while developing.
