What are Ted Thompson’s top 30 draft picks as general manager of the Green Bay Packers?

In the buildup to the 2016 NFL Draft, fellow Lombardi Ave editor Ray Rivard and I put together our list of Ted Thompson’s top 30 draft picks as general manager of the Green Bay Packers. Over the years he’s made some good picks and some bad ones, and he’s been doing it in Green Bay since 2005.

Thompson believes firmly in his draft-and-develop philosophy, meaning the decisions he makes on draft day has a major impact on the future of the franchise. One poor draft class can have long-lasting effects on the depth of the roster, while hitting one out of the park can turn a good team into Super Bowl winners.

Let’s look back over our selections for Thompson’s best picks. To make it even more interesting, you will be able to follow both of our lists. We agree in places but for the most part the lists will pan out differently. As ever, let us know if you agree or disagree with our picks. We would love to hear from you.

So who did Ted get it right on? Here’s our top 30.
