25. Quinten Rollins (Freddie’s pick)

Quinten Rollins may have only played one season in the NFL, but the second-round draft choice a year ago hasn’t taken long to make an impact in the Packers’ secondary.

Ted Thompson decided to double up on defensive backs after selecting Damarious Randall in the first round. Rollins had a history in basketball and would need some time to develop his game at the next level, but by seasons end he was arguably playing better football than the first-round selection.

Rollins finished his rookie campaign with a sack and two interceptions. Both picks came in the Week 5 win over St. Louis, and he returned one of them to the house. More importantly than the stat sheet is the potential he put on show. Rollins looks the real deal and could be a star in the making at cornerback.

It’s going to be exciting to see what the future holds for the Miami product. Can he go on and become one of the best corners in the game? Time will tell. More importantly, will he continue to make big plays in the green and gold?

Thompson hit his first two selections of the 2015 draft out of the park, and Rollins deservedly lands in his top-30.
