OLB Kamalei Correa, Boise State

With a big defensive lineman in the bag, the Packers could focus on upgrading the pass rush in the second round. A name that jumps out is Boise State’s Kamalei Correa, who plays with a high motor and has the athleticism and explosiveness to excite coaches.

Kyle Sumner McKinnon of NFL Mocks likes Correa’s potential:

"“A versatile defender, Correa shines in a number of different areas. As an edge-rusher, the Boise State product possesses a quick initial burst off the snap and has enough speed to get around tackles. He sports a variety of pass-rush moves, showcasing his combination of strength and quickness.”"

The Packers will likely look to add another pass rusher at some point in the draft. Even with Clay Matthews moving back to outside linebacker, Julius Peppers is 36-years-old, Nick Perry has struggled to stay healthy, Jayrone Elliott is unproven and Datone Jones hasn’t been a consistent pass rusher.

Correa has the raw ability when getting after the quarterback, and he has a lot of likeable traits for the Packers’ 3-4 defense. If he’s there in the second round, the Boise State product is a name to look out for.
