Wide receivers: Jordy Nelson, Randall Cobb, Davante Adams, Ty Montgomery, Jeff Janis, Trevor Davis

To put it bluntly, the Packers receivers weren’t good enough last season. Jordy Nelson’s season-ending knee injury sent shockwaves through the unit, and nobody was able to step up and make plays on the boundary.

A lack of speed hurt. Jeff Janis was the only receiver with the speed capable of taking the top off a defense, but he was too raw to be trusted on the field for long periods of time. Fifth-round draft choice Trevor Davis could help in that department. Davis has lightning speed and is a dangerous weapon once the ball is in his hands.

Nelson’s return will of course be huge for the offense, and this should elevate the play of Randall Cobb and Davante Adams. It’s a big year for Adams who regressed last term. If he stays healthy and irons out some knots in his game, the Packers can expect some better production from him.

Overall, the wide receiver group looks to be in good shape so long as they avoid another plague of injuries. Could this be a bounce back season for the wideouts?
