Who are the top five wide receivers in the NFC North?

Many great receivers have come and gone in the NFC North in recent years. Calvin Johnson’s star burnt out this offseason as he announced his retirement. The Detroit Lions turned to free agency and signed Marvin Jones to help soften the blow.

The Green Bay Packers have had their fair share of high quality at the position. Donald Driver and Greg Jennings were lighting up defenses in the green and gold just a few years ago, but general manager Ted Thompson continues to find good young talent at the position to catch passes from Aaron Rodgers.

The Chicago Bears may have sent Brandon Marshall away to the New York Jets last year rightly or wrongly, but they still have one of the brightest young receiving groups in the entire league, which is exactly what quarterback Jay Cutler needs to succeed.

In what is a strong group of receivers in the NFC North, which five players stand above the rest? Johnson’s name belonged at the top of this list for some time, but his retirement opens the door for a new name to take the crown.
