3. Randall Cobb

Randall Cobb is one of the most dangerous slot receivers in the entire NFL. While he’s more versatile than a guy who solely lines up in the slot, there’s no doubting his best work comes when piling on yards after the catch in the middle of the field.

Cobb has the speed, agility and big-play ability to put up huge games. His work alongside Jordy Nelson in 2014 meant the Packers had the best receiving tandem in the entire league. That year, Cobb tallied 1,287 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns.

When Nelson was lost for the entirety of the 2015 season, then, it was no surprise Cobb found like much more difficult. With no threat on the boundary, Cobb was being suffocated with more defenders underneath, as Jacob Westendorf of Today’s Pigskin explains:

"“Slot receivers require someone to take attention away from them. Julian Edelman is a great player in New England, but is less effective when Rob Gronkowski is not on the field. Cobb never received the help from his boundary receivers last season. Because of that, both he and the entire offense struggled. The Packers offense was a shell of its usual dominant self in 2015.”"

Cobb has made a number of huge plays throughout his career, perhaps none bigger than his NFC North-winning catch against the Bears in 2013.
