#5 TY MONTGOMERY

Green Bay’s 2015 third-round pick proved to be a quick study right off the bat and began seeing an increased number of snaps in three-receiver formations before his season came to a premature end as the result of a torn ankle ligament in Week 6.

While Montgomery is valued for his skills as a return man, Mike McCarthy won’t hesitate putting his second-year receiver on the field if Davante Adams doesn’t snap out of last year’s funk. The Packers used three-receiver packages on 93.6-percent of their pass plays, which could create ample opportunities for any one of the team’s reserve pass catchers.

Moreover, the Stanford product’s hybrid skills could see him being utilized in a Percy Harvin-type role when you also consider the Packers’ lack of depth at the running back position.

Montgomery isn’t even being drafted in most standard 12-team fantasy leagues, which means he will probably be available during those hazy late-rounds when your league mates are blindly clicking the names of Ronnie Hillman and DeAndre Smelter.
