How will the Green Bay Packers 53-man roster and depth chart shake out ahead of the regular season?

Amidst training camp battles and regular season preparation, let’s make some predictions for the Green Bay Packers final 53-man roster and depth chart.

Injuries plagued the Packers offense last year: Jordy Nelson’s absence left the offense reeling, no receiver capable of consistently shaking press coverage. Missed games along Green Bay’s offensive line and top four receivers proved too much to overcome.

A fresh season oozes optimism from all 32 teams, and the Packers are once again considered Super Bowl contenders.

A lot will depend on an offense that struggled so uncharacteristically a year ago. Can the wide receivers bounce back from an off-year? Will Aaron Rodgers play at his MVP-best? Will Jordy Nelson be the same after tearing his anterior cruciate ligament?

Dom Capers’ defense reached championship status last term, and repeating their success will go a long way to executing a deep postseason run. Clay Matthews’ return outside promises to boost the sack count, but it’s the young defensive backs generating most excitement.
