Safety (4)

Morgan Burnett

Ha Ha Clinton-Dix

Micah Hyde

Chris Banjo

Between Morgan Burnett and Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, the Packers have one of the best safety tandems in the entire league. Clinton-Dix’s arrival in 2014 allowed Burnett the freedom to reach his optimum level. Once a weakness of the Packers defense, safety is now one of its biggest strengths.

Micah Hyde offers solid depth behind the pair, also able to cover at cornerback should injuries hit. Hyde’s work goes under appreciated, but he’s an essential piece in the secondary.

Chris Banjo is a leader on special teams and offers more depth at the safety position. Special teams captain throughout the playoffs last year, Banjo is another valuable asset.

Look out for undrafted Kentrell Brice, very much in the mix to earn a spot on the roster. Brice led the Packers in tackles (six) in the preseason opener, including one tackle for a loss.

Green Bay can ill afford to lose one of Burnett or Clinton-Dix for any great length of time. Few safety double acts can outperform these two when together.

Teamed up with the Packers talented corners, the secondary oozes talent.
