Offensive guard (4)

Josh Sitton

T.J. Lang

Lane Taylor

Josh Walker

Josh Sitton and T.J. Lang form arguably the league’s premier tandem at guard. Battling through injuries last year, the duo put together another excellent campaign protecting Aaron Rodgers.

The pair enter contract years, which can be taken one of two ways. It’s short-term consequences could result in an even higher level of play. Longer term, the Packers have tough decisions to make. Looking at 2016 in a vacuum, Sitton and Lang project to be as effective as ever.

Guard remains as it was last year, Lane Taylor and Josh Walker offering immediate backup behind the two. Don Barclay is also in contention, but he misses out on a roster spot.

Better health at the tackle spots should help the guards perform at a higher level. Josh Sitton—a Pro Bowler for his craft—was asked to fill in at left tackle in Green Bay’s NFC North decider with Minnesota. Mike McCarthy quashed this experiment after just one game.

Sitton and Lang are two unsung heroes on the Packers roster, crucial to the success of the offense. These warriors in the trenches are set to get paid.
