Green Bay Packers: Predicting the final 53-man roster
Defensive line (6)
Dean Lowry
Christian Ringo
Youth floods the Packers defensive line. Behind Mike Daniels and Letroy Guion, experience dries up.
Daniels’ star shines bright at the three-technique spot, a constant disruption to backfields. He leads the way with an edge, one the Packers defense hasn’t been able to boast in recent years.
Kenny Clark’s first-round selection was a consequence to B.J. Raji’s shock retirement. A UCLA co-captain, Clark expects to produce from the off. An ability to play across the line makes him a useful addition.
Dean Lowry’s future lies at five-technique. He’ll be apart of the rotation as a rookie with the view to landing a starting gig in the future.
Due to Mike Pennel’s four-game suspension, both Brian Price and Christian Ringo take advantage of the opportunity and make up the line’s depth. Price’s strong training camp has gathered whispers he may be the next undrafted rookie to carve out a spot on the roster. Ringo has work to do to maintain a place on the 53.
Pennel can return for Week 5’s Lambeau visit of the Giants.
