Who could be on the Green Bay Packers’ radar in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft?
Ah, it’s that wonderful time of year again. Slowly, but surely winter is passing. The leaves are packing their bags in preparation for their six-month return to the trees. Spring is almost in the air, which means we’re fully ingrained in draft season.

Part of the draft season package is speculation surrounding all 32 teams. While general managers keep their cards close to their chests, multiple “reports” and “rumors” circulate about a team’s love for one player, and how another is off their draft board completely.
The simple fact is we have absolutely no idea who the Packers will select. Ted Thompson is as unpredictable as they come, and we have as much chance predicting the weather during draft weekend as we do Thompson’s selections. But that doesn’t mean we can’t try, right? It’s fun to look at potential scenarios, after all.
And in exchange for a few minutes of your time, I will present to you five candidates for the Packers’ first selection, assuming they stand pat at No. 29. Let’s begin.
