CB Teez Tabor, Florida

Outside of a few names, it’s tough to gage where a number of cornerbacks will be selected in what is a deep class. Teez Tabor could be a top-15 pick, but he could equally fall all the way to No. 29 into the grateful arms of Green Bay.

Lombardi Ave’s own Dan Dahlke mocked Tabor to the Packers with their first pick in his latest seven-round mock draft. He believes a talented pool of cornerbacks could see him drop to the bottom of the round.

"“In typical draft years, Tabor may be the first cornerback off the board, but in 2017 with top prospects like Wilson, Marshon Lattimore, Marlon Humphrey, and Sidney Jones likely to get more hype and go earlier in the first round.”"

You can read his full mock draft here.

Tabor would be a great first-round selection for the Packers. Not only does he play at arguably the weakest position on Green Bay’s roster, but he can also start from day one, an excellent athlete who excels in coverage. Hey, a cornerback who can actually cover. The Packers could sure do with one of those.

As with any prospect, Tabor doesn’t come without his own red flags. The Packers will need to do their due diligence regarding a couple of suspensions; one for refusing to take a drugs test, the other for an altercation with a teammate.

If that gets the green light, Tabor has first-round talent and would be a real asset to Green Bay’s ailing secondary.
