 10Dede Westbrook, Oklahoma (6-0, 176) — Film Grade: 77.0

Quick Take: Westbrook is an electric player with big-play ability. His speed and athleticism allow him to create separation as well as make defenders miss in the open field.

The dynamic former Oklahoma receiver was Heisman finalist in 2016, and for good measure. He recorded 80 receptions for 1524 yards and 17 touchdowns and averaged 19.05 yards per catch on the year. He also returned a 71-yard punt for touchdown against Kansas.

However, a lot of Westbrook’s big-game production came against subpar corner talent. Exceeding 200 yards receiving against Texas and Texas Tech should come with an asterisk. For comparisons sake, Westbrook really struggled to find any success against Ohio State duo Marshon Lattimore and Gareon Conley.

Westbrook’s thin build is a major concern going into the next level. He can struggle to get off press man coverage and his lack of strength also hurts him in contested ball situations. While Westbrook is a very explosive athlete, will he lose some burst and top-end speed if he adds 10-15 pounds to play in the NFL? His frame certainly doesn’t appear to be able to hold a lot of weight.

Durability also has to be a concern if he stays at his current weight. Teams may be skeptical whether or not a wide receiver playing between 175 and 180 pounds and asked to go over the middle of the field can hold up in a 16-game season.
