Wide Receiver Rankings: Top-10 Grades

1. Corey Davis, Western Michigan (6-3, 213) — Film Grade: 86.5

Quick Take: It’s difficult to find a weakness in Davis’s game. He’s a special talent. For the past three seasons, Davis has dominated the Mid-American Conference, recording at least 1400 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns each of those three years.

However, what also works in Davis’s favor is he’s had good production against Big Ten teams, like Michigan State, Wisconsin, and Northwestern. Regardless of the level of competition, Davis showed up and made plays.

The former Bronco wideout is the ideal combination of size, athleticism, and speed. He has the breakaway ability to make plays downfield, but he can also use his long frame to win in jump ball situations. Davis does a nice job high-pointing the ball, and he also has the body control to get in the right position to haul in the catch.

Davis is a polished route runner who demonstrates mastery of the entire route tree. He can make plays downfield, work the middle of the field, or take an underneath route upfield for a big gain. He also has the quick footwork to separate on his route breaks.

Davis is a legitimate No. 1 receiver and should land somewhere in the middle of the first round.
