Packers free agency 2017: Predictions for each free agent

T.J. Lang

Ted Thompson likes to keep his own players in house, but T.J. Lang is about to get paid.

For that reason, it’s unlikely he’ll be suiting up in green and gold this September. If Lang truly does earn somewhere between $8-$10 million on the market, you can all but forget about him coming back to Green Bay.

A Pro Bowler last season, the Packers could lose both pieces of what was once considered the league’s best guard tandem. Lang and Josh Sitton dominated for many years, the latter a surprising roster cut in September.

Now Lang could join him. And like Sitton, it wouldn’t be a surprise if Lang remained in the NFC North. The Vikings happen to be in the hunt for offensive linemen.

Either way, it won’t be easy to see him walk away after all he’s done for the team. Maybe Ted will find a way to keep him around, but I’m not expecting it.
