TE Martellus Bennett

Another player whose price tag could continue to drop is Martellus Bennett.

Bennett is the best tight end on the market, and he could be a game-changer on offense for the Pack.

The Patriots got exactly what they wanted out of Bennett in 2016. In one year with New England, he was every bit the matchup nightmare he’s been throughout his career. If not for nagging injuries, Bennett could have smashed past the 1,000-yard mark.

The 6-foot-6 tight end is not only an excellent red zone target and receiver, but he can also be counted on to block, and this shouldn’t be understated.

Jared Cook remains a priority for the Packers, and while bringing him back would be a smart move, Ted Thompson has an opportunity to upgrade the position by signing Bennett and adding a rookie from a talented group of tight ends in the draft.

Mike McCarthy loves to use his tight ends, and there’s a great one still available.
