The case for offensive line in Round 1

The Packers have a glaring hole at right guard and there are a few offensive linemen that could be in play in the first round.

Forrest Lamp is without a doubt the top guard prospect, and he may even be the top overall offensive lineman in the draft. While traditionally guard isn’t a position Thompson values in the first round, Lamp might be too good to pass up if he’s still available at No. 29.

There’s a good chance tackles Garrett Bolles and Cam Robinson will go earlier in the first round, but Ryan Ramczyk could be available. If so, the Packers could draft the former Wisconsin tackle with the intent to move him to guard.

Outside of these four, there’s probably not an offensive lineman worth a first round selection.
