Green Bay Packers 2017 schedule release: Five most important games of the 2017 Season

The Rematch: Packers at Falcons, Week 2
The Packers suffered not one but two heartbreaking games in Atlanta last year. They were two totally different games and caused ache in different ways but both hurt nonetheless.
The Packers lost during the regular season 33-32 in the middle of the Packers’ four-game losing streak. If they could have defended Mohamed Sanu a little better with less than a minute remaining the Packers might have pulled out a tough win.
Then there was the NFC Championship Game which Green Bay was never even in. The Falcons were streaking and they laid the lumber to the Packers 44-21 on their way to Super Bowl 51.
So guess what? The Packers play in Atlanta again this year.
And they need to make a statement in this game. Whether it is the revenge card game factor or the powerhouse fireworks show mindset, the Packers need to prove it to themselves that they can win in Atlanta against last year’s NFC champions.
If they lose it could stick in their conscience for a while. We have seen how that works, haven’t we Cowboys fans? I don’t necessarily believe in revenge as fuel to get up for a game but I believe there are many players who, openly or subconsciously, are viewing it that way.
Either way it will be another important game against a high caliber team from the NFC. The confidence a win in Atlanta could go a long way in the psyche of the team.
