Will the addition of Bennett and Kendricks pay off for the Packers, and should they still target a TE in the draft?

The Packers signed Martellus Bennett and Lance Kendricks on back-to-back days during the free agency period. Jared Cook was a good addition during last season, and while I was hoping the Packers would re-sign him, both Bennett and Kendricks should improve the passing game.

With already signing two tight ends in March, it would be hard to see why the Packers should necessarily target one in the draft. Especially since Richard Rodgers is still young enough, and offers solid depth behind the two new signings. Sure, he grabbed a crazy Hail Mary from Aaron Rodgers, but he can still work on running routes better.

The additions of Bennett and Kendricks all but eliminated the Packers’ need at tight end, easing the pressure during the draft.
