This top group of prospects is special, but unfortunately a majority of them will be off the board when the Packers are on the clock Thursday night.

They may have a shot at one of the top cornerbacks if other teams overdraft quarterbacks or offensive tackles in the first round. If Quincy Wilson, Gareon Conley, or Marlon Humphrey are still available at pick 29 Green Bay should rush to the podium.

The rest of the my top-25 is dominated by defensive prospects. This year’s edge rusher class is deep at the top-end. Myles Garrett and Solomon Thomas are locks in the top-10. Carl Lawson and Derek Barnett are also special talents and could start in the NFL.

Despite the talent, Lawson could fall in the draft because of his injury history. However, when healthy, he’s an explosive, disruptive pass rusher who can play defensive end or outside linebacker at the next level.

I just have two offensive linemen in my top-25, Forrest Lamp and Garrett Bolles, but I have three running backs and two tight ends, which are unusually high numbers based on previous years.

Out of this entire group, my two favorite players are wide receiver Corey Davis and linebacker Haason Reddick. They are so fun to watch on film. They’re both exciting athletes who make plays all over the field.
