Defensive linemen (6)

Defensive linemen: Mike Daniels, Kenny Clark, Dean Lowry, Ricky Jean Francois, Christian Ringo, Montravius Adams

The Packers have been committed to change along the defensive line over the past couple of years.

Of the six I project to make the roster, only two (Mike Daniels and Christian Ringo) arrived before 2016. Kenny Clark and Dean Lowry are entering their second seasons, while newly acquired Ricky Jean Francois and rookie Montravius Adams also join the party.

Letroy Guion, who will sit out of the first four games of the 2017 season due to suspension, misses the cut.

Given the changes made to the line, it should enter the new year in good shape. The Packers spend the majority of time in nickel and dime sets, as does the entire NFL these days, so they will have more than enough talent to rotate along the defensive line.

Daniels is the superstar, but he’ll no longer need to do it alone. Clark’s play improved dramatically at the backend of 2016, and I like the signing of Jean Francois.
