Yes, it’s here. Six long months after the green and gold gladiators of the gridiron played their last game, the Packers are ready, willing and able to hit the reset button and take on the Philadelphia Eagles in their first preseason tilt of 2017.

While it shouldn’t take the offense that long to work out the kinks before their Sept. 10 opener versus Seattle, both the defense and special teams have much to prove if the Packers have any designs on advancing past the NFC Championship round in late January.

By and large, the preseason is a part of the year where the rookies will be fed an inordinate amount of reps to get up to speed with their play books.

While the Packers have qualified for the playoffs in eight consecutive seasons and are an odds-on major contender this season, Mike McCarthy’s group has a host of concerns they will need to clear up in the next four weeks.
