2. Can Ty be the guy?

Most Packers’ supporters would agree that Montgomery’s conversion from wide receiver to running back is just about complete.

And at a beefed-up 224 pounds, the third-year veteran is ready to take on a season’s worth of punishment as the team’s lead runner.

The one lingering question anyone should have about No. 88 is: Can he be relied upon to pass protect?

So far, Montgomery has fought through some rough spots he’s experienced in the first week of camp and won some his own one-on-one battles along the way.

Versatility will continue to be the 24-year-old’s calling card considering the multiple ways he’ll be featured, including lining up wide or in the slot where he can destroy linebackers.

There’s no reason why Montgomery can’t rush for his first-ever 1,000-yard campaign over 16 games given his combination of speed, power and elusiveness.

The fact that he has 100-percent bought in on his new position with an unbridled enthusiasm to “break tackles” (see Peter King interview) should only help him continue growing in the Packers’ offense.
