Schedule eases up in next two weeks

After two games against perennial playoff teams to start the season, the Packers will have a relatively light schedule for the next two weeks. They will face off against two 0-2 teams. Up next are the Bengals and Bears, both at Lambeau Field.

With a team full of hurt players, a couple of games against struggling opponents is just what the doctor ordered. Even with a roster decimated with injuries, Mike McCarthy’s team should be able to roll to a couple of consecutive victories and improve to 3-1.

If it ends up that I am wrong, and the Packers are surprisingly defeated by the Bengals or Bears…. okay, you got me. Then the Packers probably are in trouble somewhat, and pressing the panic button is warranted.

But I don’t believe that will happen. This roster is too talented to lose a home game against an 0-2 team, unless even more injuries cause the inactive list to continue to grow.

Unless something crazy happens, the Packers will be 3-1 when they head to Dallas for a Week 5 matchup. The Packers should be able to take care of both the Bengals and Bears, even if they don’t play impressively.
