Five takeaways from the Green Bay Packers’ Week 7 loss to the New Orleans Saints.

The Green Bay Packers have survived an Aaron Rodgers broken collarbone in the past, but the Brett Hundley era got off to a rough start Sunday against the Saints. What were the biggest takeaways from the game?

When Aaron Jones ripped off a 46-yard touchdown run on Green Bay’s opening drive, there was hope. Then the defense came away with not one, but two interceptions. But the wheels fell off in the second half, the Packers watching a 14-7 lead become a 26-17 defeat. The points dried up after the second quarter, and Dom Capers’ defense was worn down.

Despite the loss, there were some positives to take away. Rookie running back Aaron Jones was one of them, the fifth-round pick building on a red-hot start to life in the NFL. More on Jones in a moment.

This defeat means the Packers fall to 4-3 entering their bye week. They don’t play again for two weeks, when the Detroit Lions visit Lambeau on Monday Night Football. But for now there’s plenty to recap from the Saints.
