Negative: Offensive scheme

This has been a complaint about the Packers for years.

Mike McCarthy’s offense is extremely flat, with little to no creativity in the scheme.

Green Bay essentially has four plays in their offensive arsenal. The smoke screen to the slot receiver, the comeback route to the X receiver, the quick out to Davante Adams, and the go route to Jordy Nelson.

Ted Thompson is somewhat to blame for this as well.

He has comprised a receiving corps that has no speed whatsoever.

Jordy Nelson, Davante Adams, Randall Cobb, and Geronimo Allison make up the slowest group of receivers in the NFL.

McCarthy, however, has to figure out how to help his receivers get separation against defensive backs.
