4. Arden Key, OLB, LSU

Key is a freak athlete and one of the more electric pass rushers in the class. His burst and speed off the edge are unmatched at his position.

He entered the 2017 college season as the clear top edge rusher in college football. However, an ankle injury severely hindered the first half of his junior season. He also started the year around 265 pounds, nearly 30 pounds heavier than last year’s playing weight.

Key’s length (6-foot-6), speed, and bend off the edge make him special talent. And even though his slow 2017 start has hurt his draft stock some, Key has turned things around the past three weeks.

Against Auburn, Mississippi, and Alabama, Key has flashed the big time playmaking ability that defined his 2016 season, where he registered 12 sacks and 14.5 tackles for loss.

The junior outside linebacker is trimmed back down to 245 pounds and is playing faster than he did at the start of the season. The diagnosis of his ankle will determine a lot in the offseason regarding his draft placement, but if he shows he’s fully healthy, he could be one of the top pass rushers in the 2018 class.
