Fantasy Football: Packers keep, trade, drop after Week 11 loss to Ravens
Davante Adams: Keep
On a contract year Davante Adams is proving success doesn’t rely solely on who is throwing the football. In an otherwise awful performance by the Packers offense, Adams caught eight of his 10 targets for 126 yards. It’s quite incredible considering how much the unit struggled as a whole.
While Adams’ production has taken a hit with Hundley at quarterback instead of Rodgers, which let’s be honest would happen to any wide receiver in the league, he’s been far and away the most consistent. In Hundley’s four starts, Adams has caught 22 passes for 286 yards and a touchdown. He’s averaged 8.3 targets per game in that span.
Adams has become Hundley’s go-to receiver, and he’s a fairly reliable option in fantasy, particularly in PPR (points-per-reception) formats. Adams’ PPR points per game with Hundley are as follows: 3.2, 12.3, 20, 20.6. Outside of the Saints game, Hundley’s first start, Adams has been a trustworthy WR2 in PPR.
Where the fourth-year receiver fits into your plans is team dependent. In need of a running back and have depth at receiver? Well now is the ideal time to try and move Adams on before the trade deadline. If not, keep Adams on your roster and trust him as a low-end WR2 with upside.
