Packers free agency 2018: Who should Green Bay bring back?
Jeff Janis: Walk
Janis is lightning fast, an excellent athlete and has made some big plays for the Packers during his four-year stay. But it’s his performances on special teams that have kept him around this long, and I don’t see that being the case in 2018.
Janis rarely sees the field on offense. While the Packers lack a receiver with his combination of size, speed and athleticism, he’s yet to develop his game enough to see the field regularly.

Janis’ route-running, as well as his inability to process defenses and earn Aaron Rodgers’ trust has kept him on the sideline. Janis will be remembered for his stunning Hail Mary grab in Arizona, but he hasn’t done enough since.
Quinton Dial: Walk
Dial was a disappointment in 2017, and it’s unlikely he returns.
The Packers have talent along the defensive line that they must build around. Kenny Clark and Mike Daniels will have big roles in Mike Pettine’s defense. Dial, on the other hand, hasn’t done enough to land a new contract.
Dial is OK against the run but doesn’t offer much in terms of a pass rush. He hasn’t recorded a sack since 2015.
Perhaps he’ll return as a depth piece on a short-term, cheap contract.
