Defense is the focus early in the latest Green Bay Packers seven-round mock draft.

The NFL Combine is only a few weeks away, and it is now officially NFL Draft season. If you’re a football fanatic, the draft is one of the highlights of the offseason, and now is the time to get familiar with the top players coming out of college.

The Green Bay Packers will have the No. 14 pick in the first round come April, and they could go many different directions with this selection. However, they will also have a total of 10 other selections to make in the draft, according to Over The Cap compensatory pick calculations.

The Packers are projected to receive four additional draft picks–a third-rounder and three fifth-rounders–for losing veterans T.J. Lang, Micah Hyde, JC Tretter, and Jared Cook last offseason.

The question is what will Green Bay do with these 11 draft selections under new general manager Brian Gutekunst’s leadership.

The Packers also have a new defensive coordinator in Mike Pettine, so a lot remains to be seen about what the defense could look like next year. Pettine’s vision for the defense will go a long in determining the kind of players the Packers target in the draft.

With all of this in mind, let’s take a look at one way this could all play out.
