Free agency is loaded with talent and signing just a few players could be enough to get the Green Bay Packers back on their feet. Here’s three free agents they should target.

The Philadelphia Eagles were crowned Super Bowl LII champions and now it’s officially the NFL offseason.

It was an unfortunate season for the Green Bay Packers. It started promising, but spiraled out of control once they lost Aaron Rodgers to a broken collarbone.

Although Rodgers returned, the team fell behind with Brett Hundley leading the offense and a dismal defense did not help.

Their offseason officially started when they were eliminated from playoff contention, after the Atlanta Falcons defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 15.

But now everyone is on the same playing field and examining their rosters, hoping to make the right moves to set their organization up for success in the 2018 season and beyond.

The Packers defense was clearly their biggest weakness last season. It is safe to assume they will address that in the 2018 NFL Draft, but it shouldn’t stop there.

Since 2012, Green Bay has used its first draft pick on a defensive player and although some of those players have panned out, it isn’t enough.

New general manager Brian Gutekunst has said all the right things since being promoted and taking over from Ted Thompson. And all signs point to an aggressive free agency period.

“We’re not going to leave any stone unturned as far as every avenue of player acquisition,” Gutekunst said when he addressed the media for the first time.

It’s almost time for Gutekunst to back up his statements and prove to the fanbase that under his regime, things will be different.

Most importantly, Rodgers isn’t getting younger and it’s time to build a championship team around the future Hall-of-Fame quarterback.

We will take a step away from the draft and look at three free agents that could make an immediate impact for the Packers.
