Four Green Bay Packers that could soon be in line for contract extensions.

Maintaining a healthy salary cap is one of the biggest challenges a general manager is faced with in the NFL, but the Green Bay Packers have achieved this year in year out.

Along the way come a number of tough decisions. Who should be re-signed, and who can be replaced? Those questions are asked every spring, and as is the case with everything, sometimes you make the right call, other times not so much.

The Packers re-signed both Davante Adams and Corey Linsley before the 2017 regular season came to an end. New general manager Brian Gutekunst still has a number of difficult decisions to make, both with the team’s pending free agents and the Packers’ top earners.

Will both Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb return to Green Bay despite their high cap hits for 2018? The same question can be asked of Bryan Bulaga and even Clay Matthews.

According to Spotrac, the Packers have an estimated $18.78 million available. That number will change depending on who they extend, sign and release. It will also include the upcoming draft class.

Looking ahead to not only this year’s list of free agents, but also those with contracts expiring in 2019, who could soon land a new deal in Green Bay?

Here are four players potentially in line for an extension in 2018.
