10. What if the Packers won the 2014 NFC Championship?

What happened?

The Packers were one of the best teams in football during the 2014 season and they appeared to be headed to Arizona to play either the New England Patriots or Indianapolis Colts in Super Bowl XLIX until they blew a 12-point lead to Seattle and proceeded to lose in overtime.

The Seahawks went on to play the Patriots in Super Bowl XLIX but lost after Malcolm Butler made one of the greatest plays in Super Bowl history by intercepting Russell Wilson at the 2-yard line just as the Seahawks were about to score the winning touchdown.

The Packers choking away the 2014 NFC Championship is still one of the worst losses in recent football history and has haunted Packer Nation ever since.

What if the Packers won the 2014 NFC Championship?

Green Bay would have gone on to face the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLIX and would have probably lost.

They would have had a better chance facing the Patriots in Super Bowl XLIX than they would have in Super Bowl XLII but I think they still would have lost.

Even with Aaron Rodgers the Packers still didn’t have the firepower that Seattle had with names like Marshawn Lynch, Bobby Wagner and the Legion of Boom.

Green Bay would have played a close game with New England and I think that the matchup of Aaron Rodgers vs. Tom Brady would have led to more scoring but in the end I still think that Tom Brady would have come away with his fourth Super Bowl ring here.
