Aaron Rodgers is soon going to become the highest paid player in NFL history, so there’s no need to worry about his future in Green Bay. But before that, the team will wait for Kirk Cousins to land a new contract when free agency opens up just over a week from now.
Charles Robinson of Yahoo reported the news on Rodgers’ contract on Saturday.
Update on the #Packers Aaron Rodgers contract extension. I heard it was extremely close. But a trusted source told me the two sides are simply talking and that Rodgers' extension is unlikely to be done until after the Kirk Cousins deal comes in. Which makes a lot of sense.
