Eric Reid, San Francisco 49ers

Eric Reid was one of the players who joined Colin Kaepernick and his protesting during his time in San Francisco. Participating in the national anthem protesting has definitely hurt his chances of finding a team to sign him.

When the 49ers drafted Reid in 2013, he made an immediate impact, as he was named to the Pro Bowl his rookie year. He was also a huge part of that 49ers defense that made an appearance in the 2013 NFC Championship Game.

However, at just 26 years old, Reid has yet to hit his athletic prime. Although he is young, Reid has already been able to perform at a high level.

The Packers need to look past what he did and take a look at Reid. He could help Green Bay’s defense in so many ways.

Reid enjoyed his time in 2017 as a safety/linebacker hybrid. That hybrid role has been a staple of the Packers defense for years now. Morgan Burnett perfected it, and now Reid can come in and play it right away.

He also stated that he wouldn’t protest during the national anthem in 2018. Don’t let the protests keep him out of Packers News.
