Packers schedule: Five toughest opponents in 2018
2. Packers @ Patriots: Week 9
Aaron Rodgers has never played at Gillette Stadium. The last time the Packers played there, Rodgers was nursing a concussion. Matt Flynn got the start (and almost upset them).
This is the matchup many fans across the NFL will have circled. Two of the best quarterbacks of this generation will meet for only the second time, in primetime. This has the possibility to be the preview of Super Bowl 53 as well.
However, playing in Foxborough is always a huge challenge for any team. In 2014 when the teams met last, it took a defensive stand to sneak out of Lambeau Field with a win. The matchup in 2018 may come down to that as well.
It’s hard to trust Green Bay’s defense, but by Week 9, we should have a good idea of how the unit will perform. Much like these challenging games, it will come down to how well the defense plays.
It will be an amazing sight to see Tom Brady and Rodgers try to lead their teams to victory. Maybe, the defenses will take a step back so we can witness the greatness of Brady and Rodgers on the same field for maybe the last time.
