Everything you need to know about the Green Bay Packers’ ahead of the second day of the 2018 NFL Draft.

And exhale. After an exciting opening night of the 2018 NFL Draft, the page quickly turns to the second and third rounds.

The Green Bay Packers were busy on the opening round, trading twice before eventually selecting cornerback Jaire Alexander with the 18th overall pick. It’s hard not to be impressed with new general manager Brian Gutekunst here. He landed the player he wanted, at a position of need, but also picked up an additional first-round pick for 2019.

The 2018 draft will long be remembered for this decision. The Packers could regret passing up on safety Derwin James, who was eventually picked at No. 17, one selection ahead of Green Bay at No. 18. Maybe selecting Alexander will go down as the best decision. It’s like the T.J. Watt-Kevin King question all over again.

While the biggest names are selected in the opening round, Day 2 of the draft is often the most fun. Currently the Packers only own one pick on Friday, but don’t expect it to stay that way. More on that in a moment.

Let’s look ahead to what should be an interesting second night of the draft. Here’s everything you need to know.
