24. Denver Broncos

If the Broncos are to return to the playoffs, it will be because of their defense. Despite losing All-Pro cornerback Aqib Talib, they now boast a pass-rush pairing of Von Miller and first-rounder Bradley Chubb. I wouldn’t like to be Derek Carr, Philip Rivers or Patrick Mahomes.

23. New York Giants

The Giants’ offense has a ton of potential this year. They’ve strengthened the offensive line by signing Nate Solder. Saquon Barkley is a huge upgrade at running back. And don’t forget Odell Beckham Jr., who is coming back from injury. That said, Eli Manning is still their quarterback. Should have they used the second overall pick on Sam Darnold? Darnold could because a huge star at MetLife Stadium, just not in a blue uniform. Will they eventually regret that decision?

22. Oakland Raiders

The Raiders are focused on winning now, at least that’s what their free agent class tells us. They’ve added Jordy Nelson, Doug Martin, Dwayne Harris and Derrick Johnson. Three of those players are 30 or above, the other is 29.

21. Buffalo Bills

After bringing in A.J. McCarron earlier in the offseason, the Bills used the seventh overall pick on quarterback Josh Allen. Will Allen play much as a rookie? Time will tell. It’s fair to say they were determined to find an upgrade at QB.
