2. TE Jimmy Graham

The prolific pass-catcher has been received in Green Bay with wide open arms. Time and time again, Green Bay’s pass heavy offense has been proven most successful with a dynamic tight end. It was evident with Jermichael Finley prior to his career-ending neck injury and it was evident in 2016 with Jared Cook.

Graham is strictly a pass catcher. He will only be asked to block on rare occasions. Therefore, Graham can easily be viewed as just a “big receiver”. The team cut veteran Jordy Nelson shortly after signing Graham and someone will have to fill that hole. Graham can be that guy.

The Packers needed help at the receiver position after moving on from Nelson and have not yet really addressed that need. They drafted three wide receivers late in the NFL draft, but it is not reasonable to expect any kind of real impact from them on this offense in 2018.

With the addition of Graham, he joins young, star wide receiver Davante Adams and slot aficionado Randall Cobb as core members of the team’s receiving corps. The team will expect big things from Graham this upcoming season. If the huge 6-foot-7 tight end can transition well to Green Bay, he could prove to be a formidable target for Aaron Rodgers.
