Honorable mentions

Case Keenum (Denver Broncos): I’m fascinated to see how Keenum does in Denver. He’ll have a good defense like he did in Minnesota, but he won’t have Pat Shurmur helping him out. The Broncos should have enough weapons to give him the help he needs.

Eli Manning (New York Giants): Manning and the New York Giants had a disappointing season last year, but I think Giants fans should be very hopeful about the 2018 season.

Pat Shumur is a good coach who could help Eli play like his younger self. Saquon Barkley will be one of the most exciting players in football, and will probably be the best running back Manning has ever played with. Odell Beckham will hopefully be healthy again. I definitely see the potential for Eli to have a late-career surge this year.

Marcus Mariota (Tennessee Titans): It’ll be interesting to see the impact that Dion Lewis will have on Mariota. I also think Corey Davis has the potential for a big improvement in his sophomore season, which could lead to a spike in Mariota’s red zone numbers.

Kirk Cousins (Minnesota Vikings): Cousins landed with a Super Bowl contender, but that isn’t the only reason why he should be thrilled to be in Minnesota.

Cousins now has Rick Spielman/Mike Zimmer running the show instead of Doug Williams/Jay Gruden. That is a huge upgrade, and Cousins will have much more talent surrounding him during his time in Minnesota than he did in Washington.

Dak Prescott (Dallas Cowboys): Prescott had a bit of a sophomore slump, but I wouldn’t be too worried about it if I were a Cowboys fan.

Ezekiel Elliott will be back, the Cowboys offensive line should be healthier, and I am really excited to see how the Cowboys use the speed of Allen Hurns in their offense.

Dak lost two Cowboys icons this offseason; Dez Bryant was cut and Jason Witten retired. But I don’t think that’ll affect him that much.

Hurns won’t bring the drama that Bryant did, and Dalton Schultz should be fairly ready for the NFL despite being a rookie (David Shaw does a great job preparing his players for the NFL).
