EDGE Kyler Fackrell

Fackrell may very well be the thorn in Packers fans’ sides right now. Coaches have raved about Fackrell in practice time and time again. However, whenever he gets on the field, the results are disappointing. Fans have clamored for Fackrell to be cut for a long time now.

Fackrell was pushed into extended playing time in 2017 due to injuries to both Nick Perry and Clay Matthews. His performances were average at best. Fackrell is entering his third season as a pro and is running out of time to make an impression. The Packers desperately need someone to step up as a quality backup at the EDGE position to provide this group with some depth.

Maybe with yet another offseason under his belt, Fackrell takes the necessary steps to make the final roster. However, at this point, there are talented young players around him that are just hungry for an opportunity to show the coaches what they’ve got.

Fackrell will have his work cut out for him. In order for him to see more success on the field, he is going to have to hone in on his pass-rushing arsenal. He appears to be a one-trick pony with only his speed rush seeing any success on the field. He will have to learn how to use his hands more effectively in order to take that next step.
